PREDECESSORS AND SHORT HISTORY:  Ancestor of the clan was Rao Bida, youngest son of Rao JODHA, Rao of Jodhpur 1438/1488. The Bidawat clan has at least 18 sub clans. Bidasar and the other Bida Kothris which comprise around 140 families in total had a total revenue of 50,000 Rs and Retainers 10000 Foot and 2000 Horse as in 1901. Many Nobles had the status of Tazimi Sardar in the Darbar and all had the title of Thakur. 

    • Rao BIDA, Rao of Chhapar-Dronapur, founder of the Bidawat clan; he accompanied his brother, Rao Bika, and helped him establish his own kingdom of Bikaner, married and had issue. Thikanas including the Thakurs of Bidasar, Chadwas, Charla etc. were in their possession. 
      • 1. Rao Udaikaran Singh, he was granted the estate of Dronapur, from which he was expelled in 1526 by Rao Jetsiji of Bikaner; married and had issue. His son Kalyandas opposed Lunkaran of Bikaner and lost all his estates. His descendants belong to Udaikarnot subclan and their Thikana was Bhidasi in Jodhpur. In Bikaner they settled at villages Jakhasar, Dhakalo, Agnau, Oon. 
      • 2. Thakur Sansar Chandra, he was granted the estate of Padihara by his father; married and had issue. 
        • Thakur Sanga, Thakur of Padihara and Dronapur, he became the sole owner of Rao Bida's properties. 
          • Thakur Gopal Das, Thakur Sahib of Padihara 1544/1609, he divided his estate between his three sons, he is ancestor of Gopaldasot subclan and its 18 branches; married and had issue, three sons.
            • Thakur Jaswant Singh, succeeded to Dronapur
              • Thakur Prithviraj Singh, founder of Prithirajot subclan, he died in the battle of Gujarat during the reign of Rai Singh. Ancestor of the Thakurs of Harasar and Sarothia
              • Thakur Manohardas, founder of Manohardasot subclan, their main Thikanas are Jalore in Marwar; and Sandwa (Double Tazim Thikana), earlier it was known as Baghawas, his son Roop Singh killed Gopi Godara and captured Baghawas since when it is known as Sandwa; Padihara (Single Tazim Thikana), Kakku, Patlisar, Binadesar (Single Tazim Thikana). 
            • Thakur Tej Singh, he was granted estate of Chadwas, founder of Tejsinghot subclan of the Bidawats of Chadwas, Gopalpura, Malsisar (Single Tazim Thikana), Joglia, Nosria, Malasar and Badawar (Single Tazim Thikana).
              • Thakur Sujan Singh, Thakur of Malsisar
                • Thakur Bhag Chand, Thakur of Malsisar
                  • Thakur Hindu Singh Tejsinghot, Thakur of Malsisar
                • Thakur Kanh Singh of Malsisar, married and had issue, two sons. 
                  • Kunwar (name unknown), married into Jadawata and had issue.
                  • Kunwar (name unknown), married into Jadawata and had issue. 
            • Thakur Kesho Das, son of Gopaldas, founder of Keshodasot subclan, he was granted the estate of Bidasar (Single Tazim Thikana).
        • Rampal, 5th son of Sanga, ancestor of Dhanawat subclan. 
        • Sanwaldas, son of Sanga and brother of Gopaldas, founder of Sanwaldasot subclan. 
        • Seeha, son of Sanga, founder of Sihawat subclan, of jagirdars of Gopalpura. 
        • Thakur Ram Das, ancestor of Ramdasot subclan.    
        • Thakur Jalap Das, founder of Jalapdasot subclan.   
        • Thakur Kishan Das, founder of Kishnawat subclan.   
        • Thakur Raimal Bidawat
          • Thakur Dhena Bidawat, founder of Dhenawat subclan.  
        • Thakur Dayaldas, founder of Dayaldasot subclan.

        • Rani Agradeiji Bidawatiji of Sandwe, married Shekhawat Raja Girdhardas Raisalot of Khandela (Amarsar). He died 1623. 
        • Rani Bidawatiji, daughter of Thakur Bhao Singh Bidawat of Dantru, married Shekhawat Rao Shiv Singh of Sikar (1721/1748).
        • Rani Sireh Kanwar, daughter of Thakur Bhom Singh Bidawat of Sandhwa, married Shekhawat Raja Lakshman Singh of Khandela-Junior 1821/1850. 
        • Rani Bidawatiji of Sandwa, married Shekhawat Raja Aanad Singh of Khandela-Senior 1880/1884. 
        • Thakur Budh Singh, Thakur of Harasar, married and had issue. 
          • Thakurani Suraj Kanwar, married Shekhawat Thakur Madho Singh of Mandawa-Junior, and had issue. She died 1866.
        • Rani Chandra Kunwar, married (as his first wife), Rajawat Rawat Raghunath Singh of Nindar, and had issue. 
        • Rani Govind Kanwar, daughter of Bidawat Rathore Thakur Jivraj Singh of Sandwa in Bikaner State, married 1936, Shaktawat Rawat Mahavir Singh Sisodia of Bohera (1971/1978), born 1916, died 1978, and had issue, a son and a daughter. 
        • Kunwar Vishwajit Singh, son of Thakur Prithwi Singh (Bidawat Rathore) of Harasar in Bikaner State, married Kunwarani Ranjana Kumari of Bohera, born 4th August 1965.
